Technical Description
The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) monitors redundant brake pedal switch inputs (typically complementary Normally Open [NO] and Normally Closed [NC] circuits or a 5V analog BPP sensor). DTC C0161 is set when the EBCM detects an implausible state, circuit open/short, or a timing discrepancy between the physical switch contacts and master cylinder hydraulic pressure sensor signals.
Possible Causes
1. Mekaniskt feljusterad, intern kontaktkorrosion eller slitage i dubbelverkande bromsljuskontakt
2. Skadat kablage, mikroskopisk glappkontakt i pedalställskontaktstycket eller ärgade stift
3. Felaktigt/eftermonterat LED-bromsljus som sänker kretsbelastningen och orsakar felaktig vilopotential i EBCM
4. Hårdvarufel eller intern ingångsstegsdefekt i ABS/ESC-styrdonet (EBCM)
