Technical Description
DTC C0321 is triggered when the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) detects an electrical fault in the transfer case shift motor lock circuit. The lock mechanism is an electromagnetic brake/solenoid that holds the shift actuator shaft in position once selected (e.g., 2HI, 4HI, 4LO). The TCCM commands the lock release coil by energizing it and continuously monitors circuit integrity via internal sense resistors. If the feedback voltage deviates from the commanded state (detecting an open circuit, short-to-ground, or short-to-voltage), C0321 is set and 4WD shifts are disabled.
Possible Causes
1. Avbrott eller invändig kortslutning i ställdonets/enkodermotorns integrerade broms-/låsspole (slitagedel/fuktinträngning)

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
