The audio control module (AUD) registers too low a signal on the wiring to the centre speaker. The usual cause is a short circuit to ground between the centre speaker and the module. The code is set while the module is active, and the centre speaker produces no sound.

- 1Check that the audio system fuses are intact and see where they are located in the owner's manual
- 2Check the connectors at the module and at the centre speaker for contact resistance, play and oxidation

- 4Read the signal with diagnostic equipment and repair the short to ground
