The audio control module (AUD) has detected excessive temperature at the transmitter of the fibre-optic data bus (MOST) that carries audio and data between the infotainment units. To protect itself the module shuts down, so the sound cuts out.
Mulige årsaker
- High temperature in the car or around the audio unit, for example after parking in the sun or with blocked ventilation around the unit
- Excessive current draw in the module
- Internal fault in the audio control module (AUD)
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the audio system fuses are intact
- 2Make sure air can circulate around the audio unit and nothing blocks its ventilation
- 3Note whether the fault only appears when hot – if it clears once the car cools it may be temporary overheating
- 4If it recurs at normal temperatures, have a workshop check or replace the audio module
