Hva betyr feilkoden?
The brake control module (BCM) has registered that the brake booster's pre-pressure valve or its signal is working incorrectly. The valve controls how the booster assists brake pressure when adaptive cruise control is active, and the module has found that it does not respond as it should.
Mulige årsaker
- Damaged pre-pressure valve
- Internal fault in the brake control module
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check the vacuum system: with the engine off the brake pedal should feel firm, and when the engine is started with the pedal pressed it should give way slightly
- 3Activate the pre-pressure valve with diagnostic equipment and check its connectors and wiring
- 4If the code returns, the brake control module normally needs replacing by a workshop
- 5The braking system is safety critical: do not work on the brake booster or pre-pressure valve yourself; leave this to a workshop
