Hva betyr feilkoden?
The hill descent control (HDC) uses gear information that the brake control module (BCM) receives over the car's data network. When the gear information calculated by the module does not match what has been sent over the network, the code is set and the function is blocked.
Mulige årsaker
- Interference or temporary breaks on the CAN network
- Contact resistance or oxidation in connectors and joints
- Faulty reverse light switch
- Faulty first gear switch connector
- Fault in the central electronic module
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the codes in the central electronic module and the engine management first, as the fault often starts there
- 2Check the reverse light switch and the first gear switch connector for contact resistance and oxidation
- 3Check that the reverse lights come on when reverse is selected and go off when you change gear
- 4Road test the car and check that the function works again when you drive in first gear and then reverse
- 5The braking system is safety critical: do not work on the brake control module or the data network yourself; leave this to a workshop
