The brake control module (BCM) is not in contact with the electronic parking brake control module (PBM) on the CAN network. The parking brake may then have reduced function. The fault most often comes from interference or intermittent breaks on the network.

Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read codes in the central electronic module and other affected modules, and correct them first
- 2If no codes are stored, check the wiring and connectors on the CAN network for breaks and contact resistance
- 3Check that the wiring is not routed close to sources of interference, such as mobile phones
- 4Clear the code only once the other faults are corrected, and check that the parking brake applies and releases as it should
- 5The brake system is safety-critical, so have a workshop carry out any work on the wiring and the modules
