The BECM monitors the high voltage battery's ability to store energy and calculates an ageing factor. The code gives early warning that the battery is nearing the end of its service life.

- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and road test to check whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the battery's capacity and plan any replacement
- 3The high voltage system should only be handled by qualified personnel, so have a workshop carry out all work on the battery and other high voltage parts
