The BECM monitors the contactors of the high voltage battery and how they are controlled. The code is stored when the control of the negative-side contactor gives unexpected current and voltage values and the control signal is at a low level. The fault may be caused by a damaged high voltage battery.

- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and road test to check whether it returns
- 2Check that the car's ordinary battery is charged and in good condition
- 3Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the contactors and the high voltage battery
- 4The high voltage system should only be handled by qualified personnel, so have a workshop carry out all work on the battery and other high voltage parts
