The climate control module (CCM) receives status and current temperature from the seat heating module for the left front seat and has found that the heating element in the seat is not working. The fault lies in the wire between the seat heating module and the heating element, which may be broken or short-circuited to ground or voltage. The heat in the front seat then fails to come on.

Hva du kan gjøre

1Check that the fuses are intact, especially the fuse for the seat heating
2Start the engine, switch on the left front seat heating and see whether the heat comes on
3Feel along the cable between the seat and the seat heating module for chafing or damage, and check that the connectors are firmly seated
4Use a multimeter to check that the wire to the heating element is not broken and has no contact with ground (the body) or with voltage
5With diagnostic equipment, follow the seat heater status in live data while the heat is switched on and off. The status should change with the button
6If the wire is intact but the fault remains, have a workshop replace the heating element in the seat
