Some functions that the keypad on the module handles can also be operated with a remote control, which uses infrared (IR) signals. The module checks the supply voltage to the IR sensor in the panel. The fault is a short circuit to ground, so the remote control may stop working.

- 1Try the remote control and see whether it works
- 2If the remote control works, clear the code and see whether it returns
- 3Check with a multimeter that the IR sensor wire has no contact with ground (the bodywork) when the connector is disconnected
- 4If the fault remains and the remote control does not work, have a workshop replace the climate control module
