Hva betyr feilkoden?
The central electronic module (CEM) has lost contact with the instrument cluster (DIM) and sets this code when the link stops working. The fault lies in the communication rather than in the CEM, so the CEM should not be replaced for this code. The instrument cluster may be missing power or ground, have a broken CAN connection, or be a module meant for a different car.
Mulige årsaker
- The instrument cluster is not receiving power
- The ground wire to the instrument cluster is broken
- Contact resistance in the connections
- Broken CAN wiring to the instrument cluster
- Wrong instrument cluster for this car, for example a used module with different software or hardware
- A common CAN network fault if several communication faults are stored at the same time
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check the instrument cluster fuse. If it has blown, replace it once. If it blows again, use a multimeter to check the wire after it has no contact with ground.
- 2Check that the connectors and wiring harness behind the instrument panel are seated, undamaged, not chafed and free of corrosion
- 3Check that the ground connection to the cluster is tight and clean. Use a multimeter to check that the wire between the cluster and the body is not broken
- 4If the connectors and ground are fine but the fault remains, read the module ID with a diagnostic tool if you have one. The fault may be intermittent
- 5After the work, clear the code and drive the car to see whether it returns
Symptomer du kan merke2
- No gauges are working
- The instrument panel lighting does not come on
Generell veiledning for bileiere. Feilsøking på bilen kan peke på en annen årsak.
