The left-hand gas discharge lamp module (GDL) reports a fault in the signal from the actuator motor in the left headlamp. The code points to an open circuit or a short circuit in the signal wire. The high beam does not work, and only the low beam remains.
Mulige årsaker
- Open circuit in the signal wire to the left-hand actuator motor
- The signal wire to the left-hand actuator motor is short-circuited to battery voltage
- The signal wire to the left-hand actuator motor is short-circuited to ground
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Activate the high beam with the ignition on. If it stays dark the fault is likely permanent; if it lights but the code was stored earlier, it is intermittent
- 2Switch the ignition off and check that the connectors at the left headlamp are clean, firmly fitted and undamaged
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wires between the module and the lamp housing are not broken and have no contact with ground
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the left lamp housing and check the signal wires
