Hva betyr feilkoden?
The central electronic module (CEM) supplies the level sensors with voltage and monitors them. The fault shows that the supply wire to one or both sensors is shorted to battery voltage, so the signals cannot be used for the headlight setting. The fault is checked when the ignition is switched on.
Mulige årsaker
- The supply wire to one or both sensors is shorted to battery
- Damaged sensor
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read off and note the code, clear it and carry out a short test drive to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses for the headlight level control are intact
- 3Check that the connectors at the level sensors are fully engaged and not corroded, and that the cables are not chafed
- 4Use a multimeter (ignition off, connectors unplugged) to check that the supply wires are not at battery voltage
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool, read the sensor values in live data and check whether either one stays stuck at its highest level
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop check the wiring and the sensors
Symptomer du kan merke2
- Headlight side adjustment does not follow the steering wheel
- Headlight height adjustment does not work or is set wrongly
Hva feilen kan påvirke2
- The headlights use a fixed beam length instead of an adjusted one
- Side adjustment stays fixed straight ahead
