Hva betyr feilkoden?
The start signal going to the engine control module (ECM) is supervised by the CEM, which also watches the voltage on the signal cable. The code is stored when the cable is short-circuited to ground. The start signal can then not reach the engine control module, and the engine cannot be started.
Mulige årsaker
- The signal cable is short-circuited to ground
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the relevant fuses are intact. Their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 3Look for chafing and loose connections in the harness to the engine control module
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal cable from the CEM to the engine control module has no contact with ground (the body)
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool: read the start signal status in live data during a start attempt
- 6If the fault returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the cable and the control module
Symptomer du kan merke5
- Engine does not start
- Starter motor does not operate
- Engine does not turn over, and no clicking sound is heard at a start attempt
- Engine does not turn over, but there is a clicking sound at a start attempt

Hva feilen kan påvirke3
- The output switches off during the driving cycle in which the fault is detected
- If the fault remains, the output switches off permanently after 100 driving cycles
- When the codes are cleared and a new driving cycle starts, the output is reset
