Hva betyr feilkoden?
The CEM talks to the steering wheel module (SWM) over a shared LIN bus. The code is stored when a message from the SWM on that bus arrives incorrect. The turn signals, wipers, washer and trip computer may then work poorly.
Mulige årsaker
- Poor contact, oxidation or looseness in the connectors or connections
- Damaged steering wheel module (SWM)
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1With a diagnostic tool, check for other CEM codes ending in 86 or 88 and fix those first, as they point to the LIN bus
- 2Check that the connectors in the steering wheel and the connections to the steering wheel module are secure and free from oxidation
- 3Check that the relevant fuses are intact. Their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: read the steering wheel module status in live data and check that it responds
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the LIN bus and the steering wheel module, and download new software if needed
