The fault code means that communication between the control module storing the fault and the forward sensing module (FSM) is disturbed or has stopped. The FSM serves the forward-looking functions used for cruise control, collision warning and collision and braking support, and those functions may not work. The cause may be temporary, but it must be checked.
Mulige årsaker
- No power reaching the forward sensing module (FSM)
- Broken ground wire to the forward sensing module
- Poor contact in the connections
- Open or shorted CAN wiring
- A module not intended for the car, such as a used unit with other software or hardware
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Switch the ignition on and activate collision warning. The button lamp and a symbol in the instrument panel should light. If the function now works, the fault may have been intermittent
- 2If the function does not activate, check the fuse and that the control module has power
- 3Check the ground wire to the module for loose connections and oxidation, and the connector wiring for chafing
- 4With a diagnostic tool, read whether the module responds, and note if the code returns after a road test
- 5Collision warning and braking support may be unavailable, so have a workshop check the system soon. Replace the CEM only if testing shows it is faulty
