The heater control module receives a lower supply voltage than the central electronic module, and the fault code is set. The heater cannot be started until the fault code has been erased. The causes may be an open circuit or a short to ground in the supply, poor contact, a blown fuse or a poorly charged battery.
Mulige årsaker
- Open circuit or short to ground in the supply to the auxiliary heater
- Poor contact, oxidation or looseness at the supply connections
- Blown fuse
- Poorly charged battery
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1With the ignition off, check that the fuse for the auxiliary heater is intact. A half-blown fuse can cause faults that come and go.
- 2Check that the battery is fully charged. Charge or replace it if it is weak, as it gives the heater a lower voltage.
- 3Check the connectors in the supply to the heater for corrosion, looseness and oxidation.
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire to the heater is not broken and has no contact with ground (the body).
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool, you can compare the heater's supply voltage with the battery voltage, if it is shown in live data.
- 6If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop check the power supply and the heater control module.
Symptomer du kan merke2
- Poor heating in the cabin
- The parking heater does not work
Hva feilen kan påvirke1
- The heater cannot be started until the fault code has been erased
