Hva betyr feilkoden?
The control module receives too high a signal from the outside temperature sensor, which can mean the signal wire is short-circuited to voltage or has an open circuit. The outside temperature display then does not work.
Mulige årsaker
- Signal wire short-circuited to voltage supply
- Open circuit in the signal wire
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read out and note the fault code, clear it, then with ignition on check that the outside temperature shown roughly matches the actual outside air temperature
- 2The sensor is always mounted in the right-hand door mirror, even on cars with the steering on the other side. Check that the mirror connector is seated and clean
- 3With ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no contact with voltage (plus) and no open circuit. Replace the wire if it is damaged
- 4Check the connectors at the control module and the mirror for contact resistance, oxidation and loose connections
- 5If no fault is found, replace the outside temperature sensor
Symptomer du kan merke1
- The outside temperature gauge does not work
