The driver door module (DDM) powers the driver's side external mirror with automatic dimming. The fault is stored when the output current from the module is too high, which in this case can be caused by a short to voltage or an open cable. Auto-dimming then does not work.
Mulige årsaker
- Cable to the driver's side auto-dimming mirror short-circuited to voltage or open
- Moisture and/or oxidation in connections
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read out and note the fault code, clear it, then take a test drive to see if auto-dimming works
- 2Check the connections to the driver's side mirror for moisture and oxidation, and clean them
- 3With ignition off, use a multimeter to confirm the cable has no contact with plus and is not broken. Replace the cable if it is damaged
- 4Check the voltage cable between the mirror and the door module for chafing and damage
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the driver's side mirror
