The right front door module powers the defroster heating element in the right door mirror. When the defroster is switched on, the output signal is too low because the signal cable is short-circuited to ground, so the right mirror heating stops working.

- Signal cable for the right mirror defroster short-circuited to ground
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read out and note the fault code, clear it, then switch on the defroster for the right mirror to see if the code returns
- 2Check the connector to the right mirror for contact resistance and oxidation
- 3With ignition off, use a multimeter to confirm the heater signal wire has no contact with ground (body). Replace the wire if it is damaged
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the right mirror heater and check that it starts
- 5If no fault is found, have a workshop try a new right door mirror
