The driver door module checks the signal from the position sensor, a potentiometer, which registers the sideways position of the mirror. The fault is stored when the signal is too low, which is caused by the signal wire having contact with ground or being broken.
Mulige årsaker
- The signal wire is short-circuited to ground
- Open circuit in the signal wire
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Move the mirror to the right and to the left and check that it moves smoothly in both directions
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, follow the sideways mirror position in live data while adjusting it
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no contact with ground and is not broken
- 5Check the connectors in the door and at the mirror base for moisture and oxidation
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the control module and the mirror
