Hva betyr feilkoden?
The instrument has switched off its communication on the high-speed CAN network (HS-CAN), a state known as bus off. It happens when another control module disturbs the network, or when the instrument's own messages cause disturbance. The instrument lighting and dimmer then do not work.
Mulige årsaker
- Short circuit between the CAN wires
- Open circuit in one of the CAN wires
- Disturbance from another control module on the same part of the network
- Damaged instrument panel module (DIM)
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read off the fault codes, note them and clear them. Test drive the vehicle to see if the fault returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact and that the battery is in good condition
- 3Follow the CAN wiring for chafing and pinched areas, and check that the connectors are firmly seated and free from oxidation
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, read which control modules respond on the CAN network and note whether any are missing
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop carry out a CAN fault-finding procedure, as it requires measurements in the wiring
