Although the code is named a programming fault, it concerns disturbances on the medium-speed CAN network (MS-CAN). The fault can occur when another control module on the network disturbs communication, and then the instrument lighting and dimmer do not work.

3Follow the CAN wiring for chafing and pinched areas, and check the connectors for oxidation and loose fit
4If you have a diagnostic tool, read which control modules respond on the network and note whether any are missing
5If the fault returns, have a workshop check the configuration and carry out a CAN fault-finding procedure
