Hva betyr feilkoden?
The instrument cluster (DIM) gets no reply from the infotainment control module (ICM), which among other things sends clock information. The infotainment module has not started in time, or the communication between them is broken. The fault does not mean the instrument cluster is faulty.
Mulige årsaker
- The infotainment control module (ICM) did not start in time
- Break in the communication wire
- The communication wire is shorted to earth
- The communication wire is shorted to supply voltage
- Poor contact, oxidation or breaks in the connections
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1If the fault codes DIM-U001000 or DIM-U030000 are also stored, investigate them first as they can give the same symptoms
- 2Check that the fuses are intact and that the connectors to the instrument cluster and the infotainment system are fully engaged
- 3Measure with a multimeter that the communication wires between the instrument cluster and the infotainment system have no break and are not shorted to earth
- 4Reseat loose connectors, restart the car and check whether the fault clears. If it remains, have a workshop investigate the infotainment control module
- 5Do not replace the instrument cluster until troubleshooting shows the fault is there
