The instrument cluster (DIM) receives signals from the engine control module (ECM) with a lower quality than it can accept, so some gauges and warnings may show faults. The fault usually lies in the engine control module or the central electronic module (CEM) and not in the instrument cluster.

Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. Their location is in the owner's manual or the fuse list
- 2If possible, test a few functions in the car with the buttons, controls and a short road test to see whether the gauges and warnings work
- 3Read the fault codes with a diagnostic tool and clear them. If they return, have a workshop investigate the engine control module and the CEM
- 4If nothing shows on the road test, the fault may be intermittent. Note when the gauges misbehave, for example at a certain temperature
- 5Do not replace the instrument cluster until a workshop has shown the fault lies there
