The instrument cluster (DIM) receives signals from the pedestrian protection module (PPM) with a lower quality than it can accept. The driver normally notices nothing, but the code shows that the signal from the pedestrian protection cannot be relied on. Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the fault codes with a diagnostic tool, clear them and road test the car to see whether the code returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact. Their location is in the owner's manual or the fuse list
- 3If possible, test a few functions in the car with the buttons and controls to see whether any other fault shows in the instrument cluster
- 4If the code remains after clearing, have a workshop investigate the pedestrian protection module and the central electronic module
- 5Do not replace the instrument cluster until a workshop has shown the fault lies there, as the signal usually comes from another module
