Hva betyr feilkoden?
The instrument cluster (DIM) no longer receives information from the infotainment control module (ICM), and the communication between them is broken. The fault therefore concerns the connection between the modules and not a failure of the instrument cluster itself.
Mulige årsaker
- Break in the communication wire
- The communication wire is shorted to earth
- The communication wire is shorted to supply voltage
- Poor contact, oxidation or breaks in the connections
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1If the fault codes DIM-U001000 or DIM-U030000 are stored at the same time, deal with them first as they can cause the same symptoms
- 2Check that the fuses are intact. Their location is in the owner's manual or the fuse list
- 3Check that the connectors in the instrument cluster and in the infotainment system are fully engaged and clean
- 4Measure with a multimeter that the CAN wires between the modules have no break and are not shorted to earth or supply voltage
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop investigate the infotainment control module and the CAN network before the instrument cluster is replaced
