Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module receives too low a signal from the fuel temperature sensor. The fault is intermittent, meaning it comes and goes, and may not be present right now. The sensor measures the temperature of the fuel, and while the fault is active the electric cooling fan may run at the wrong speed.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance in the connections
- The signal wire is shorted to earth
- Break in the signal or earth wire
- Faulty fuel temperature sensor
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check the wires and connectors to the fuel temperature sensor for contact resistance, chafing and corrosion
- 2With a diagnostic tool, read the fuel temperature in live data. It should be plausible and not stay fixed at one value
- 3Measure with a multimeter that the signal wire to the sensor is not shorted to earth and that the wires have no break
- 4Clear the fault code and road test the car. If it returns, have a workshop repair or replace the fuel temperature sensor
- 5Note whether the cooling fan only runs at the wrong speed at certain times, so the workshop can reproduce the fault
Symptomer du kan merke1
- The electric cooling fan runs at half speed with the ignition on and the engine running
Generell veiledning for bileiere. Feilsøking på bilen kan peke på en annen årsak.
