Hva betyr feilkoden?
Although the code is named signal missing, it applies when the signal to the injector for cylinder 1 is faulty. The engine control module drives the injectors through a high-output stage and checks the signal wire to each one. The fault concerns cylinder 1 only, but it can be clearly felt while driving.
Mulige årsaker
- Poor contact, with loose connections or oxidation at the injector
- Break in the signal wire
- Signal wire shorted to ground or supply voltage
- Damaged injector
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the connector to the cylinder 1 injector is fully engaged and free from oxidation
- 3Follow the two wires to the cylinder 1 injector and look for breaks, chafing and shorts to ground
- 4With the connector unplugged, use a multimeter to check that the wires have no connection to ground (the body)
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the cylinder 1 injector and listen for a clear sound from it
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop check the injector output stage and decide whether the injector should be replaced
