Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the signal from the intake air temperature sensor. The fault is set when the signal does not follow the characteristic the module expects over a certain time.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections to the intake air temperature sensor
- Damaged intake air temperature sensor
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and test drive to see whether it returns
- 2Check the boost pressure sensor connector for contact resistance and oxidation, since the intake air temperature sensor is built into it
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read intake air temperature in live data when the engine is cold and again when warm; it should rise evenly during warm-up
- 4If the fault returns after clearing and a test drive: have a workshop try a new boost pressure sensor
- 5Drive the car a stretch after the work, since this fault is only checked under certain driving conditions and the lamp may come on only partway through the drive
