The ECM monitors the battery voltage and sets the fault code when it is too low. The fault may come from a faulty battery or poor contact in the battery circuit.

1Check the condition of the battery and that it is sufficiently charged
2Check that the battery terminals and the connections in the battery circuit are tight and free of oxidation
3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the battery voltage in live data while the engine runs and see whether it rises
4If the fault remains, have a workshop check that the charging system gives the correct voltage and that the module's supply is sound
