Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) compares the signal from the rear catalytic converter temperature sensor with a calculated value. If the temperature rises too quickly after start-up, the code is set. The fault can come from poor contact, an open or short circuit in the sensor wiring, or a damaged sensor.
Mulige årsaker
- Play, contact resistance or oxidation in the connections to the rear sensor
- Open circuit or short circuit in the wiring to the sensor
- Damaged temperature sensor
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and clear the fault code and check whether it returns
- 2Check the connector at the rear catalytic converter temperature sensor for play, contact resistance and oxidation
- 3Check the wiring to the rear sensor for open circuit and short circuit
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the supply to the sensor has no open circuit or short circuit
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool, read the sensor temperature in live data during warm-up and see whether it rises steadily
- 6Have a workshop replace the rear temperature sensor if the fault remains
