Hva betyr feilkoden?
The fault applies to the heating of the front oxygen sensor on bank 1. The engine control module (ECM) controls the heating by pulsing the current to the sensor's PTC element, and the pulse length depends on the sensor temperature. The code is stored when the signal reads under a set threshold with the heating switched off.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance and oxidation at the connections
- Open circuit in the supply feed from the system relay
- Damaged front heated oxygen sensor
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Make sure the oxygen sensor connector is fully engaged and clean. Rust solvent spray and grease must not be used in it
- 3If possible, take any readings from the cable side of the connectors so they are not damaged and do not become loose contacts later
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the supply cable from the system relay to the sensor has no open circuit
- 5If the cables are intact but the fault remains, have a workshop try a new oxygen sensor
