Hva betyr feilkoden?
After the engine starts the ECM works out a theoretical engine temperature. If the sensor gives a signal that does not change and does not match that value, the code is set. It can appear together with another fault code for the coolant temperature sensor.
Mulige årsaker
- Poor contact with oxidation in the connector
- The engine coolant temperature sensor is damaged
- A thermostat that does not open
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and fix the other fault code for the coolant temperature sensor first
- 2Disconnect the electric cooling fan before troubleshooting, since the fan can run even when the ignition is off
- 3Check the connector at the temperature sensor for contact resistance and oxidation
- 4Check the coolant level and the freeze protection, since a frozen sensor can cause this code
- 5Have a workshop replace the sensor or the thermostat if the fault remains
