The control module checks the signal line to the primary winding of ignition coil 1 and sets the code when the signal is too high. The code identifies ignition coil 1.
Mulige årsaker
- Signal wire shorted to supply voltage
- Damaged ignition coil
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Clear the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the connector at ignition coil 1 is secure and clean
- 3Look for chafing or pinched sections on the wire to ignition coil 1
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the coil 1 wire has no contact with battery positive
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the coil with diagnostic equipment
