Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module drives the glow plugs through the glow plug relay and stores the fault code when the supply voltage to the relay is missing. The relay then does not receive the constant battery voltage it needs, so the glow plugs cannot heat up. The effect is mainly noticed when starting from cold.
Mulige årsaker
- Damaged fuse
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors
- Open circuit in the signal wire
- Damaged glow plug relay
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check the fuse for the circuit to the glow plug relay. A blown fuse can mean the supply is missing
- 2Look at the connections at the relay for looseness and oxidation, and clean them if needed
- 3Use a multimeter to check that supply voltage is present at the relay even with the ignition off
- 4Check that the signal wire has no open circuit, since the relay cannot then be controlled
- 5Replace the glow plug relay if the supply and connections are sound but the fault remains
