Hva betyr feilkoden?
The ECM monitors the wiring to the cooling fan that keeps the control module box cool. When the signal from the fan to the control module box is missing, with the ignition on or the engine running, the code is set. The cause may be poor contact at the connections, an open circuit in the wiring or a damaged fan.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance at the connections
- Open circuit in the signal wire
- Open circuit in the power supply to the cooling fan
- Damaged cooling fan
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check the fuse for the circuit. If it has blown, look for a short to ground in the circuit before a new fuse is fitted
- 2Check the connectors at the fan and at the control module box for contact resistance and oxidation
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire is intact and does not break anywhere
- 4With diagnostic equipment, activate the cooling fan for the control modules and listen for it to start
- 5If no cause is found in the wiring, have a workshop try a new cooling fan
