Starter motor relay 2 has an electrical fault, such as a break in the connections, a short to ground, or the relay being stuck in the open position. The starter motor then receives no voltage, and automatic engine start and stop is switched off. The fault applies to the C30, S40 (04-) and V50.

- Open circuit in the connections
- Short circuit to ground
- Starter motor relay 2 is stuck in the open position
- Damaged starter motor relay 2
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Check that the wiring to starter motor relay 2 is not broken or shorted to ground
- 3On a start attempt, listen for a click from the relay and check whether the starter motor turns
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: activate starter motor relay 2 and listen to the relay
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop replace starter motor relay 2 if it is damaged, once the connections are checked
