Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the internal supply circuits that feed the components. This variant applies when the voltage in one circuit is too high, and the check runs with the ignition on. The cause may be a sensor supply wire in contact with voltage, a damaged sensor or a damaged control module.
Mulige årsaker
- A sensor supply wire in contact with voltage
- Damaged sensor
- Damaged engine control module (ECM)
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Check the sensor supply wires for chafing; use a multimeter to confirm they are not connected to battery voltage
- 3Check that the sensor connectors are fully engaged and free from oxidation
- 4If you have diagnostic equipment, compare the sensor values in live data with the ignition on and see which sensor reads too high
- 5If the code remains after these checks, have a workshop decide whether the control module needs replacing
Symptomer du kan merke2
- Deterioration in performance
- Cranking works, but the engine will not start
Generell veiledning for bileiere. Feilsøking på bilen kan peke på en annen årsak.
