Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the throttle unit's position sensors and sets the code when either signal is faulty. The fault can be a signal that is too high or too low. The cause may lie in the wiring and connectors around the throttle unit, or in the unit itself.
Mulige årsaker
- Signal cables short-circuited to voltage, giving a signal that is too high
- Signal cables short-circuited to ground or open-circuit, giving a signal that is too low
- Power supply to the throttle unit is short-circuited or open-circuit
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors
- Damaged throttle unit
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check the connectors at the throttle unit and the engine control module for contact resistance and oxidation
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the signal cables are not open-circuit and not short-circuited to ground or voltage
- 3Erase the fault code and test drive. If it returns although nothing else has been found, the throttle unit may need to be replaced by a workshop
