Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module communicates over the LIN bus with the alternator control module (ACM) and the radiator temperature sensor. The code is set when that communication stops, when the bus has an open circuit, or when messages on the bus are corrupted. Starting can then become unreliable and fuel consumption may rise.
Mulige årsaker
- A damaged connector
- Open circuit on the LIN wire between the engine control module and the ACM
- The engine's earth to the body broken because of a damaged or loose earth lead
- Contact resistance and oxidation in the connections
- LIN wire short-circuited to supply voltage or ground
- A damaged engine control module
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact and that the engine earth lead to the body is secure
- 2Check the connectors in the LIN network for loose contact, oxidation and contact resistance
- 3With a multimeter, check the signal wire for an open circuit and for a short to ground or supply voltage, after disconnecting the battery negative lead
- 4Check whether another LIN-related fault code is stored and deal with it first
Symptomer du kan merke3
- The engine does not start, and it is unpredictable when it does
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is on
- Unusually high fuel consumption
