Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module has found that the intake camshaft moves too slowly when it is to be advanced toward the early position. The code is a general fault with no more specific description of the fault. It is only set when the engine is fully warm, the engine speed is above a certain level and camshaft control is active.
Mulige årsaker
- Poor quality engine oil
- Low oil pressure
- Dirty or faulty camshaft control valve
- Damaged VVT unit
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1If there is a stored code for the crankshaft-to-camshaft correlation, diagnose that one first
- 2Check that the engine oil is of the right quality and not contaminated
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: activate camshaft control and see whether the intake camshaft responds
- 4Have a workshop remove the control valve for cleaning and check the oil passages in the cylinder head, as contamination can damage the VVT parts
- 5If the fault remains after cleaning: have a workshop measure the oil pressure and try a new control valve
- 6If the fault returns: have a workshop check whether the VVT unit is damaged internally
