Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module compares the exhaust camshaft position with the crankshaft position and adjusts the adaptation when they do not agree. The code indicates a signal that is too high in bank 2, sensor B, and is set when the adaptation changes too much. It is checked at engine start and when the engine is warm.
Mulige årsaker
- Incorrectly set camshafts
- Damaged VVT unit
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire from the exhaust camshaft sensor is not shorted to supply voltage
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the exhaust camshaft adaptation for bank 2 in live data with the engine running and note the value
- 4Check the engine oil level and quality, and that it is free from contamination
- 5Have a workshop check the camshaft basic setting
- 6If the fault returns: have a workshop clean the control valve, or fit a new one, and check the VVT unit
Symptomer du kan merke5
- Engine does not start, the starter motor cranks it
- The car lacks power when starting
- Engine is hard to start and cranks slowly
- Engine hesitates or runs jerkily at steady speed
- Check engine lamp lit or behaving abnormally
Hva feilen kan påvirke1
- The control module uses a fixed value for the camshaft adaptation
