Hva betyr feilkoden?
The ECM watches the voltage supplied to the bypass valve that controls the boost compressor. The code is stored when the signal from the valve is incorrect, and While the fault is active the compressor is switched off, which causes a clear loss of performance.
Mulige årsaker
- Signal wire shorted to ground
- Signal wire shorted to supply voltage
- Contact resistance or corrosion in the connections
- Open circuit in the signal or ground wire
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check the connector at the bypass valve: it should be fully engaged, free from corrosion and moisture, and undamaged
- 3Look for chafed, pinched or loose wiring running from the valve to the engine control module
- 4If you have diagnostic equipment, activate the bypass valve and check that it moves
- 5With a multimeter, check that the signal wire has no open circuit and is not shorted to ground or supply voltage
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop check the valve and its control
