Hva betyr feilkoden?
The control module checks the coolant temperature sensor's function. The fault code is set when a temperature that is too low is detected, or when the sensor's DC voltage is too low. The sensor is mounted in the engine block.
Mulige årsaker
- Damaged coolant temperature sensor
- Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
- Contact resistance and oxidation in the connections
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the diagnostic status and fault status for the code with the ignition on. Check that the fault is not active when the test is finished
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: read the coolant temperature in live data and check that it is reasonable and follows the warm-up. An unreasonable value indicates a permanent fault
- 3Check that the connector at the coolant temperature sensor is firmly seated and free from contact resistance and oxidation
- 4With the connector unplugged, use a multimeter to check that the signal cable is not short-circuited to ground
- 5If no fault is found, the fault may have been intermittent. If the fault recurs, have a workshop trace it as a permanent fault

- A text message is shown in the display
- The electric cooling fan runs all the time
- Automatic engine start/stop does not work
- The Check engine light comes on or behaves abnormally
- The engine does not start

- During warm-up a ramped value for the coolant temperature is used, which rises steadily
- Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) is not controlled
- The control module falls back on a default value or a calculation model
