The front oxygen sensor in bank 2 has to change its signal quickly enough when the mixture switches. The engine control module (ECM) measures how the signal changes and sets the code when the sensor does not activate or responds too slowly.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance in the connections
- Short circuit between the wires
- Damaged front oxygen sensor
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Clean and check the connector at the sensor in bank 2 for contact resistance; do not use rust solvent spray or grease
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wires to the sensor are not shorted to each other
- 4If the fault remains, replace the front oxygen sensor in bank 2
