Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the high-pressure side of the fuel system. The code is stored when the ECM detects a fault on the voltage lead to the high-pressure pump, here a short circuit to ground. It is a general electrical fault.
Mulige årsaker
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Open circuit in the voltage lead
- Voltage lead short-circuited to ground
- Damaged fuel pump
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and test drive to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Check the connections to the fuel pump for contact resistance and oxidation
- 4With the ignition off and the connector disconnected, use a multimeter to check that the voltage lead to the pump has no open circuit
- 5Use a multimeter to check that the voltage lead is not short-circuited to ground (the body)
- 6Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the fuel pump and its control
