The engine control module (ECM) compares the actual position of the intake air control valve with a calculated reference value. If the position does not match, the fault code is stored. The fault code means the valve is stuck in the closed position.

- The control valve is stuck in the closed position
- Damaged control valve in the intake air inlet
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and test drive the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the flap in the intake pipe is not held in the closed position and is free of dirt
- 3Check that the fuses are intact; their locations are shown in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: read the valve's reference value and actual position in live data with the engine running and compare them
- 5If the fault returns: have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check and, if needed, replace the control valve
