Hva betyr feilkoden?
The engine control module (ECM) uses the knock sensor signal to detect combustion knock. If the signal from knock sensor 2 stays above its normal range for a certain time, the fault code is set. The fault concerns the rear knock sensor, which monitors cylinders 1 to 4. The cause may be a signal cable short-circuited to voltage, a break, poor contact or a damaged sensor.

- Contact resistance or oxidation at the knock sensor plug
- Damaged knock sensor
- Incorrectly fitted knock sensor
Hva du kan gjøre
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and drive the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the plug on the rear knock sensor is clean, firmly seated and free of contact resistance
- 3Check the signal cables for a short to voltage and for breaks; with a multimeter, confirm that they have no contact with the positive supply
- 4Check that the knock sensor is firmly seated and correctly fitted
- 5Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check and, if needed, replace the knock sensor
